Welcome to Hurricane Swimming >
Swim-A-Thon Big Success
Why Swimming?
On June 8, 23 Hurricane Swimmers
participated in the first annual Hurricane
Swim-A-Thon. With great parent support
and plenty of food and drink the swimmers
tackled the two hour long event with vigor.
Of the 23 swimmers, 7 completed all 200
lengths with Mark P being the first out of
the water in 1:29.45. All our swimmers did
an outstanding job from our youngest to
our oldest. As a fund raiser it appears that
the team will generate approximately
$4,000 in support of the program. Thanks
to all those who helped!

Hurricanes split up to participate in both the Ouray and Sopris
Invites. (June 18th)
The Rangely Hurricane Swim Team sent 13 swimmers to Ouray to compete in the
one day meet while 11 swimmers headed to Glenwood Springs to swim in a three
day meet. Everyone did an awesome job and represented the best of Rangely. Of
special note was the new pool record established by Cole Barlow in the
Breaststroke at the Sopris meet. Refer to the schedule for results. Way to go
Hurricanes!!
